São José dos Campos, Brazil — LATAM Airlines Brazil has started the delivery process for its first Embraer E195-E2, bringing a smaller aircraft and a cabin without middle seats into its domestic expansion plans.

Embraer announced the milestone on 8 October. The aircraft is the first of 12 scheduled for delivery to the airline by the end of 2026.

What passengers can expect

The planned cabin has 136 seats arranged in pairs on either side of the aisle, with Economy and Premium Economy sections. Every passenger therefore has either a window or an aisle seat.

The first deployment phase includes four destinations new to LATAM’s network: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé and Rondonópolis, according to the manufacturer’s release.

Delivery is one step before service

Customs procedures, cabin approval and completion of certification with Brazil’s aviation regulator, ANAC, still follow delivery. The announcement is not confirmation that passengers can already fly on the aircraft.

For travelers, the next useful milestone is confirmed service entry and aircraft assignments on individual routes.
