SINGAPORE — Singapore Airlines is preparing a new generation of KrisWorld entertainment, pairing sharper seatback displays and Bluetooth audio with a redesigned interface.

The upgrade forms part of the carrier’s S$1.1 billion programme to refresh 41 long-haul and ultra-long-range Airbus A350 aircraft. The new cabin experience is due to be unveiled in Singapore in November.

A more personal screen

KrisWorld will offer 4K touchscreen technology and more than 2,500 entertainment options. Equipment varies by cabin; passengers should not expect every seat to receive identical displays.

Larger icons, clearer menus and improved search aim to make content easier to find. A mini-player lets passengers browse while continuing to watch. KrisFlyer members will be able to receive personalised recommendations and carry their viewing history between flights.

Faster connectivity follows

Separately, Starlink connectivity is scheduled to roll out from early 2027 across 53 A380, long-haul A350-900 and A350-900ULR aircraft. Regional A350s are outside that initial programme.

These are planned upgrades, not features already available fleet-wide. The changes combine entertainment at the seat with more options for passengers using their own devices.
